Introducing Kid DOP€’s first commercial project, Vintage Vapours. The EP features master production from Milwaukee’s legendary producer Lex Luther resulting in possibly one of DLC Bassment ‘s greatest releases thus far. Vintage Vapours - EP redefines the Milwaukee rap scene in 5 solid tracks featuring the likes of DJ The Jenius (Dopium & The Wire), Chris P and Grant Fore (Dirty Latino Children). Lex Luther’s notorious vinyl sampling approach to production (Vintage) and Kid DOP€’s intricate smoking “Killer Flow” (Vapors) polishes up a perfect Hip-Hop synergy, hence the name, Vintage Vapours.

Make no mistake; Vintage Vapours - EP brings a clean-cut production right from the start with Dopium, as it vibes a soothing texture of sound as Kid DOP€’s killer flow bounces along the subtle drums. KEYS shows a Lex Luther master production as the intricate bass progresses into a soothing melodic sound, meanwhile Kid DOP€’s underground diction reminisces you back to the better days of hip-hop. Lex Luther starts off Dirty Latino Children with a sinister sample picking up the pace, bringing back memories of Havoc and Mobb Deep. It begins with a brutal hook followed by a sadistic verse by Chris P, then Grant Fore jumps in with his characteristic east-coast flow, and lastly a verse by Kid DOP€ goes hard to finish the kill. The Wire is quite possibly one of the best tracks of this EP. It’s all you need in one track. Once again, Lex Luther’s legendary sampling skills and “beast” production sets the mood, enhanced by one of Kid DOP€’s best verses since his very beginnings at DLC Bassment, and finished by DJ The Jenius with a very intricate flow. Finally, Wrath of Poseidon closes this EP with unique class. Kid DOP€ opens the track with “You see this right here? It’s the Southside at its prime”, and he just might be right as his flow rides over dark resounding horns subtly polished by Lex Luther. Overall, Vintage Vapours - EP is a guarantee that quality Hip-Hop can emerge from the streets of cream city, Milwaukee. This is only the beginning of a long journey for Kid DOP€.
